Basics of Radiocommunications (PR)
The lecture is an introduction to the basic theoretical problems of radiocommunications. The basic applications are presented as well. See more (in Polish)
Digital Cellular Systems (CSK)
The course deals with digital cellular systems fundamentals. It describes basics of GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, LTE systems. Presented topics cover: services, system architectures, functionality of network elements, design of radio interfaces, radio resource management, mobility management and communication management procedures. Future trends in networks evolution (LTE Advanced, 5G systems) are also presented. Laboratory exercises create opportunity to investigate real radio interface signals, basic mobility management and communication procedures and measurement of GSM mobile stations. Radioelectronic Measurements (MR)
The scope of the course covers basic aspects of measurements of radioelectronic signals and circuits. It is focused on methods and techniques for spectrum analysis, vector signal analysis and network analysis. Laboratory exercises provide knowledge on basic features, limitations and operation principles of contemporary measuring instrumentation. See more (in Polish)
UMTS & LTE Systems (ULTE)
The course covers advanced topics in the area of third generation cellular system UMTS. It provides information on wide range of aspects concerning UMTS system: architecture, radio interface solutions, system procedures, equipment, network planning etc. Laboratory exercises help to extend knowledge on radio interface features, techniques of radio signal measurements as well as on speech codecs. Ultra-Wideband Technology (TUSP)
The aim of the course is the preparation of students to implement ultrawideband technology in telecommunications, positioning and imaging applications. After completing the course students will have knowledge on theoretical basics of UWB technology, knowledge on principles of UWB devices design, ability to use this technology, ability to measure and evaluate UWB signals.
